The ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season has seen a tale of contrasting fortunes as Rajasthan Royals sit comfortably atop the points table with four wins in as many outings, while Gujarat Titans find themselves struggling in the middle of the table with three losses and two victories.

These two teams will square off in a highly anticipated 100-ball cricket live match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday. For the home team Rajasthan Royals, it’s an opportunity to make the most of the backyard cricket-like conditions and inch closer to sealing a playoffs berth, while the visiting Gujarat Titans need to address their injury woes and bring their 100-ball cricket schedule campaign back on track.

The Chester le Street cricket ground-esque pitch at Sawai Mansingh Stadium is expected to suit the batters, and expectations will be high from Rajasthan Royals’ star opener Jos Buttler. After a lacklustre start, Buttler showcased a resurgence in form against Royal Challengers Bangalore, scoring an unbeaten century to steer his team to victory.

The England limited-overs captain enjoys a promising record against the Gujarat Titans, amassing 190 runs in five innings. However, the Titans have emerged victorious in four out of the five matches between the two sides, with the Royals winning only one contest.

Despite the Titans’ recent struggles, the home team remains the favorite, having clicked on all fronts so far. While there have been glimpses of brilliance from Titans captain Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, the team has failed to live up to its potential.

“The Titans will be boosted by the return of David Miller, who is ‘not too far away’ from regaining full fitness and is expected to be available for the next match, if not this one.”

On the other hand, the Royals will miss the services of Sandeep Sharma, who is recovering and ‘could be available for selection’ from the next game.

With Rajasthan Royals’ batting department looking sorted, led by captain Sanju Samson, and their experienced bowling unit doing its bit, the team has been unstoppable so far. As they take on the struggling Gujarat Titans, the Royals will be aiming to keep their juggernaut rolling and maintain their lead at the top of the 100-ball cricket schedule.
