The board also said Dhonen will miss the team’s next match against the New Zealand Lions in Abu Dhabi.
The Bangladesh team has also been planning a three-day training camp in Dubai, which is planned to be held on January 22.
Dhonen had been set to fly back to Dhaka on Thursday morning after being scheduled to fly home on Saturday.
Bangladesh captain Misbah-ul-Haq said Dhongri would take part in the team bus on Thursday but had cancelled the trip because of the injury.
Misbah said Dhon is in the best shape and is also confident in his fitness.
“We are waiting for him to get a positive result and we will go with him.
It will be difficult for him, but he is doing everything to get back to the field,” Misbah told a press conference on Thursday, as reported by the BBC.
Misbehavi said Dhone would be able to play the team in a three day training camp, and he said Dhones performance would be crucial to the Bangladesh team.
“He is doing his best to get himself back to play cricket, and his fitness is great, so we will definitely support him and be ready to support him,” Misbehav said.
Misajib said Dhani is a player who has a great personality and will help the team and be able bring a positive spirit to the team.
Misha said the squad will travel to Dubai on Friday.
The team has taken the game against the Lions into the UAE after a series of setbacks, with Dhoni suffering a hamstring injury against the South Africa Lions in the series opener on June 15.
Bangladesh are currently ranked fifth in the world, with just one win from the seven matches played so far.
