The PCB has also announced that the first team is set to be selected on June 11 for the Twenty20 World Cup and the Twenty30 World Cup.
The ICC has confirmed that all five of the Test matches will be played in England and all five matches of the Champions Cup will be held in England, as well as the two ODIs.
The board has also confirmed that the home and away series will be in England for the first time in the IPL.
The IPL has been played in a three-phase format for the past seven years and was a success.
The IPL will be the fifth major international cricket tournament to be held across South Asia and the fourth one to be played under the ICC’s new Twenty20 format.
The format has been introduced by the ICC to allow a larger number of teams to play matches in a shortened period of time, enabling it to offer a much more competitive cricket experience.
