Chacha’s latest run in for India comes after he scored two centuries in Test series
Chacha Chamba is a fast bowler who has made a name for himself with India in Tests, but he is no stranger to international cricket either.
After being named in the Test squad for the fourth time, the 29-year-old was a regular for the India squad during the recent IPL and Champions League tournaments.
The fast bowling left-arm spinner was part of the team that took on England in a five-match series in the UAE last November and scored five wickets in that game, including a five in the third over.
In the Champions League series, Chamba went on to make the most of his international cricket to score five wicket haul in the final over of the match.
However, the pace-bowling lefty is not the only Indian fast bowlers who has enjoyed an international career.
Kanhaiya Kumar is the fastest bowler in Test history and is a part of India’s squad for upcoming ODIs.
Chamba, who is not eligible for the 2019 World Cup because he is not yet 25, was also part of England’s squad in the recent tour of Bangladesh and was part-time captain in that series.
Despite having played only three Tests for England, Chambala is still one of the fastest bowlers in Test cricket, having made his international debut in the 2016 World Cup.
After a difficult 2016, Chacha is set to get a lot more playing time this time around, with both the BCCI and the ECB targeting a number of talented bowlers for their Test squads.
