How to listen to cricket news with Recode.com reader comments
Recode’s Ian Lawless has a new podcast called The Recode Podcast, where he discusses the latest in technology and business.
I’m going to try and give you the lowdown on what we’re listening to in tech and business and how that’s going to impact the world.
First up is the podcast for today.
Ian Lawly joins me to discuss the recent tech developments that have been occurring in the world of sports.
As I’ve already said in previous podcasts, I think technology has changed the game forever.
I don’t think you’re going to see the same level of technology in cricket, I don, but I think it will change the way we think about cricket, it will have a huge impact on the game.
Recode also has an interview with former England captain Steve Smith, and how he views the current state of cricket in the UK.
In the interview, Smith speaks about the current problems with the England Test squad, the way that he has had to deal with the captaincy issues, the pressures that have gone into the team’s performance, and why he believes the team is playing better in the current World Cup format.
Then, in a follow-up, Smith tells me how he’s trying to find the right balance between the demands of the job and the team, and what he’s learnt from his experiences in the past.
He tells me he’s never been more frustrated.
I think if you look at what happened with the T20I squad last year and how it was, it was a team that didn’t have any confidence in itself.
I’ve been with the Test team for a few years, I’ve worked with a lot of players.
I know how to deal.
It’s a team, it’s a job.
It doesn’t matter how talented you are.
The captain is the man, and if he feels you don’t have that confidence, you have to give him the time and the energy and you have have to make sure he’s doing everything he can to give you that confidence.
Smith talks about the challenges of being a Test captain and how having to handle that pressure has been tough, and he talks about how he thinks the current crop of Test players are lacking in confidence, and is hoping that this is a trend he can build upon.
And finally, in this next part, Smith talks about his own career, and discusses what he learned from his time as a Test batsman and captain.
I think the biggest thing is, as you know, I’m a former Test batsmen, I never played for Test cricket, but now that I’m out of Test cricket and I’ve played the game more as a coach, I look back and I look at my career and what I did and what we could have done better and what the team could have achieved.
I remember my first day of the World Cup, it felt really different to me, I was so excited and I felt like I was on the cusp of making my Test debut, and I played my first Test match.
I had a great experience, and it was fantastic.
But as a captain, I just couldn’t get the team going, I couldn’t play as a consistent innings, I can’t be consistent as a team.
I was frustrated with myself, and we needed to fix that and I realised that if I didn’t change the culture of the team in a certain way, I would be back where I started.
I wanted to be a Test allrounder and I wanted the team to go out and do it. I didn
